Jack can't help but allow himself to hum in approval at the progress. That breathy sound that dare imitates a laugh makes a little bit of joy bounce in Jack's heart too, delighted he could be the cause of something like laughter. His cheeks may color very lightly too cause he thought he'd never hear anything like that coming from the older and crankier man.
