However this isn't the case, so he feels somewhat sidelined by the callout. (Even if it's deserved.) ]
Uh, you weren't. And I wasn't. Trying to get under your skirt, I mean.
[ He clears his throat awkwardly, but his easy smile returns soon enough. ]
That said, I am absolutely flirting with you.
[ Platonic flirting...? Flirting for the sake of flirting. It's just how he is, don't worry about it. ]

Fantastic. So long as we're on the same page.
[She's already so tired. Sighing, she picks up where they left off:]
Why don't you pick a song? I'm a fast learner.

Sure. Though all I've really got right now are boring choir songs... The academy I'm enrolled in back home is located in a monastery, in case you're wondering.
[ (He probably gives off the vibes of a godless heathen.) Anyway, he'd never managed to successfully sneak out of practice with the Professor watching, so the only thing he could do was actually learn whatever hymn of the week they were made to sing.
He gives Lucretia a quick rundown of the lyrics and melody for one of the songs—they're short and simple, albeit dry as one might imagine, extolling the virtues of the Goddess Sothis, and the creation of the world. ]
Okay, you try singing that part, and I'll harmonize.

Admission of being part of a monastery has her raising a brow although she accepts this as fact. You can put the boy in the monastery but you can’t make him drink. So to speak.]
Alright. I think I’ve got it- [And Lucretia does a good job of replicating what he taught her. As she said she’s a quick learner and although her singing voice is nothing that would earn her any notoriety, she does it with the practice of someone that engages in the hobby privately. While washing dishes or taking a shower, most likely.]

Anyway, Lucretia may have playfully claimed to be awful, but her singing isn't bad in the slightest. It's nice to listen to, personable in how it's just slightly unrefined around the edges, the way voices are that haven't undergone rigorous training.
Sylvain's has a similar quality to it as well. His voice very much reflects his personality, open and easy, even a little shameless in the way he goes at notes, not caring whether he hits them perfectly or not.
And he does a pretty decent job at matching his duet partner, making sure he doesn't overpower the main melody. It's pretty fun in all, and his smile is genuine while he sings, even if he has no particular attachment to the song in question.
(And even if, unfortunately, the crystal doesn't seem to light up the way they want it to...) ]
...Aww, I thought that was pretty stellar. Looks like we've got a particularly tough crowd.
[ He casts Lucretia a questioning glimpse, to see if she's got any ideas. ]

Well, there's no accounting for taste.
[She hums, watching the crystals as she tries to think of what was missing. The puzzle told them to sing and they certainly sang.
Still thinking, she watches their reflection in the pink crystal.]
Honestly, these crystals kind of give me the heebie jeebies. It feels like they're watching us.
