MINECRAFTIA.
GRAVEYARD / ARRIVAL.
This time is an exception.
He lacked a weapon to defend himself, what with Freyja's Reckoning— a guitar and battle axe— missing and his true form and potential still barred from his reach, he was defenseless other than what close combat he knew which was surprisingly.. quite a lot. But he hadn't done much in this car other than feel sorry for himself and perhaps he was trying to take a stab at doing something to make up for being such a lousy person. He has Night Vision, at least, so maybe he could see some grave robbing happening if he camped out. Camped out without a plan. God, he's really losing it now, isn't he?
Here he is, bored out of his mind and tired with his back against a large grave stone, singing softly to himself: ]
Leviathan, where are you now,
My secret friend from the sea--
Bring your waves and the thunder
Make me believe forever--
Tch, that ain't it. Secret friend from the sea... sea... how about.. underwater.. underground?
[ His ears perk in the direction where he hears the distinct sound of crumbling Earth and he puts all of his attention on that, shifting on his seat to take a gander at.. someone crawling out of a grave a couple rows down from where he's at? ]
Uh.
[ UH. He's a little nervous to peer around the gravestone for a better look, but he can't help it, his eyes emitting a faint, yellow glow if you catch glimpse of him just right. ]

One has to know how to survive them, if he's to ensure someone else doesn't.
He hauls himself, spitting and coughing, from the shallow grave. Feet lashing, arms slightly too long and pale as the moon, as a corpse. He's an elongated creature, dirt smeared at the corners of his mouth and lungs working to reject globs of damp soil from their passages. Barely, he catches the sound of a voice over the sound of his own choking. Barely, he peers through dirt-filmed eye and notes the yellow glow. Just within grabbing distance.
For a moment, he works on breathing in. Breathing deep.
Angrily, his mouth pulls back, baring the sharp points of his serpentine teeth -- and he lunges, on toes and scrabbling fingers, aiming to attack the poor sap who'd come over to him and lock his limbs down. A grappling, pinning hold between rough hands and tight thighs -- python-like, in restriction. ]
Didn't go, according to plan, did it?
[ Vaati hisses, and swipes a clean patch of coat over his uncovered eye. ]
I'd say "next time, be sure I'm dead before you bury me", but we both know -- there is no next time for you.
[ Jack, u always wanted to die between someone's thighs, right?? ]

He had expected whoever or whatever this thing is to be hostile but he hadn’t expected it to happen so quickly. In close combat, Vaati definitely has the upper hand here, but in the tangle of limbs and the tussle he can feel skin to skin contact. He’s just going to empathy fuck this guy and see if he can ease his anger.
His eyes glow a little more as he feels Vaati’s anger— strong and dominating over any other emotion and Jack focuses to ease that anger and soothe him. Vaati Will mysterious feel his emotions lesser to a greater extent, slowly pushing him to calmer. ]
Whoa, whoa. Whoaaaaaa. Easy, big guy. Take me to dinner first.
[ Ha is tapping him, like a tap out, but otherwise isn’t writhing much. Jack laughs lightly and breathlessly. ]
I haven’t done a thing to you, pal, get the fuck off of me.

He scrambles to his hands and knees, spread like some animal ready to fling itself back into the fight - tooth and nail. ]
Gross.
[ RUDE BITCH ]
-- why are you here, then?

Whoa-ho, man. Wow. I'm going to like you.
[ Jack, why do you like everything that is so dangerous to you? He steps back and dusts some dirt off of him before putting his hands up in defense. Vaati will notice the glowing number 427 on his hand. Looks like this bastard has mad some progress. ]
I'm just like.. admiring the spoooooky scenery. Uh. Trying to be helpful somehow? Like before this train car kills me. Or something.
[ A beat. ]
Were you just dead right now? Or did someone try to bury you alive?

On the outside flat of his forearm, edging up towards his exposed elbow is his own number: 840. Just under double that of Jack. ]
I assume the latter. It wouldn't be the first time. Nor the first that nobody stuck around to ensure it took.
[ Nor the first time he'd been, well, dead. While he tries to avoid that, sometimes it can't be helped. Though he says such things dryly, with one hand finally fumbling through the buzzing of his sidebags, hunting for this things (gone) and coming up with naught but a vibrating object.
( The phone. It's the phone everyone has. ) ] What is this place?

[ Finally, his eyes bounce to Vaati's number and.. okay. So he is a passenger here. That's something Jack has gathered even though he doesn't really know what the numbers mean.
Jack shifts slightly. ]
Iiiii don't know what to tell ya, buddy. Uh. It's a weird train. Each car has a different.. theme? World? We can travel to other cars but there's usually an objective to get the door to open.
Unfortunately, you're in the weird.. bird person car with a side of plague.

They weren't, so he turns his attention idly to the buzzing item. To Jack and his glowing eyes. ]
I thought I was in Barovia again. [ it's gloomy enough here ] How pathetic.
[ Being lost to ANOTHER realm, ugh. ]
Who are you, then? The welcoming committee?
no subject
Moi? The welcoming committee? Oh, I wish! Then I could greet everyone with a little kiss.
[ slimy FOOL... ]
You don't need to know much about me other than my name is Jack. But for youuuuu, you can call me whatever you want.
