[He has no idea if it's going to work. Anakin isn't one for planning on the whole- he gets ideas and just kind of goes with them, he follows his instincts and obeys whatever seems good at the time. But that allows for moments like this- where Anakin shouts out advice that he hasn't used or even tried himself.
So does that make it... good advice? It's probably good, right? It's working. The young man is steering his triceratops in his direction and the dinosaur he's riding abandons its wild galloping in favor of- running in a circle around Anakin and the dinosaur he's babysitting. The dinosaur that still hasn't stopped eating. One great foot comes off the ground and paws at the long trunk of a tree- bowing the branches further up and by extension bringing a new mouthful of leaves into chomping range. The man on the triceratops looks at him; commiserating, Anakin looks back.]
I'm starting to think they're eager about everything.
[ For someone who was close to death mere minutes ago, Claude sounds remarkably relaxed and in good spirits. His baby is still running circles around Anakin at... pretty high speed, but at this point, Claude has accepted his fate.
Maybe he should jump off? ]
Maybe I should jump off?
[ Might as well pitch it to Anakin since he's here. Normally Claude is all for playing the waiting game, but he's starting to get a little dizzy, and he's desperately craving the feeling of solid ground under his feet.
He pats the dinosaur's back, hoping the soothing motion might slow it down. ]
[Man that little guy sure is just gonna... keep going. Each time all four feet hit the ground Anakin can feel the thud of it in his own knees. How do they never get tired? It can't just be the size.
And what happens once his dinosaur finally stops eating? His gaze travels between their excited satellite and the guy still riding on its back. He's not as good at this as Obi-Wan, and he's never tried it without touching the animal- but it's gotta be better than watching Claude get trampled to death.]
Okay, just let me try to- [He still has to close his eyes to do it. Letting the Force guide his reflexes, or using it to pull things into his center- those things are easy. They're like exhaling. But to reach the mind of another living being and try to guide it, that takes a lot more focus. Anakin is a creature of power, not precision, and he has to spend half of his concentration just to hold himself back- to keep from just crashing into the dinosaur's brain. His arms extend in each direction, like the axle of a wheel- and the triceratops begins to slow. Not the steady and continuous glaze of a true mind trick, but its gait breaks up, it stumbles just a little- and then the creature's pace begins to flag.]
[ For a second, Claude really thinks that his soothing back pats are paying off.
—And then it becomes clearer that Anakin is doing something, since the pose he's pulling and the look of concentration aren't exactly natural positions to be in. It's just that Claude can't really fathom what it is that Anakin is doing. There's magic in Fódlan, but it's limited to healing and the manipulation of the elements. Moreover, Claude has never had much affinity for it.
Coming here has opened his eyes to just how wide the universe is, how his preconceptions of possible and impossible were too narrow. It's both terrifying, and a huge relief.
In the fact of everything that he's seen, his small ambitions feel that much easier to make reality. ]
Whoa. [ As his triceratops comes to a stop, he gives it another pat on the shoulder, sliding off and onto the ground as it goes to nose curiously around Anakin's charge.
He's a little unsteady on the ground at first, but not so disoriented that he can't fix Anakin with an amazed look. ]

How did you do that?
